ATMA is conducted by AIMS four times a year, and by clearing ATMA with high percentile, candidates get admission in top B- schools. The exam has low competition level so it becomes easy for aspirants to qualify the preliminary rounds. Qualifying them is followed by GD and PI rounds for the selection.

What all you know about ATMA?

ATMA (AIMS Test for Management Admission) is a national level entrance examination. The examination is conducted for admission to post-graduate management courses which includes MBA, PGDM, MCA, and MCM etc. ATMA is held four times a year i.e. February, May, June, and July, and is conducted by Association of Indian Management Schools.

It is conducted only in online mode and ATMA Result is declared 3- 4 days after the conduction of exam. Approximately 300 B-Schools accept ATMA scores.

ATMA contains 180 multiple choice questions. The paper will cover 3 key areas viz. Verbal Skills, Analytical Reasoning Skills, and Quantitative Skills. The question paper is divided into 6 sub-sections and each section comprises of 30 questions. The total duration for ATMA is 3 hours. One mark will be rewarded for every correct attempt and .25 deduction for every wrong attempt. The questions generally range from easy to moderate level of difficulty.

Does ATMA have Sectional cut- offs?

ATMA has 3 sections in total i.e. Verbal Skills, Analytical Reasoning Skills, and Quantitative Skills. ATMA Results are declared section wise i.e. marks of all the subjects are declared section wise. But, selection in the college depends on the total cut off. Some colleges can declare sectional cut offs too (depends).

Clearing the written examination cut- off, candidates must qualify the PI/ GD round for selection into the college.

How much marks a candidate must get to get admission in top ATMA colleges?

ATMA scores are accepted by more than 300 colleges. It is important for each participating aspirant to score the minimum set marks for admission in ATMA colleges. Candidates can seek admission to courses such as MBA/PGDM/PGDBA/MCM/MCA etc. through ATMA. After the declaration of ATMA Result, candidates must ensure that they score more than the ATMA cut off.

It depends on various factors such as paper difficulty level, number of participants, and number of seats offered by the B-schools.

ATMA cut off candidate is 50% and 60 in case of top colleges, but candidates must score more than 100 to get admission in top colleges under ATMA. The expected ATMA cut off can vary between 80 to 150, while the percentile can be between 90-97.

What’s next after clearing ATMA?

Candidates scoring more than 130 marks can apply for admission in top MBA college. The further selection procedure involves Group Discussion followed by Personal Interview. Candidates scoring more or equal to ATMA Cutoff by various participating institutes will be shortlisted for the pre-admission procedure.

The final ATMA Result will be based on the aspirant’s score in the entrance exam, GD/PI, extra-curricular work, work experience of candidate, and academic profile. The final admission will depend on the norms set by the institute and criteria set by the individual participating colleges.
